Introduction

“World Sports-Journalist Day” is celebrated around the globe every year on the 2nd of July. It is celebrated on the occasion of the establishment of AIPS (International Sports Press Association), also known as AIPS. AIPS is the supreme body of world sports journalists. Nepal also became a member of AIPS in the year 2006. AIPS was founded by sports journalists gathered in one place on the occasion of the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. World Sports Journalist Day is celebrated every year commemorating that same day in History. World Sports Journalist Day was established in the year 1994 to mark the 70th anniversary of the “International Sports Press Association”.

World Sports Journalist Day is celebrated in honor of all the sports journalists who are working to spread sports programs among sports lovers through pictures and videos. AIPS has been established in Africa, America, Asia, and Europe. Sports journalists affiliated with this organization work to disseminate, publish, promote and broadcast sports news.
