Congress Disputes to Be Resolved Through Dialogue, Party Will Reunite: Shekhar Koirala - english.pardafas.com
Senior Nepali Congress leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has expressed confidence that the party’s internal disputes can be resolved through dialogue, saying the Congress will reunite once again. Speaking briefly to journalists on Saturday before heading to the party headquarters in Sanepa, Koirala said the prevailing confusion and bitterness within the party would come to an end soon. Describing the internal rift as a natural process, he said dialogue would help identify a point of reconciliation. “Even major wars in the world have ultimately been resolved at the dialogue table. Therefore, this difference of opinion within the Congress will also be settled through dialogue,” Koirala said. “We will reunite again, and we must. There is no alternative to reuniting the Congress.” On Friday, the Election Commission granted official recognition to the Central Working Committee led by Gagan Thapa, who was elected through the special convention. Before the Commission’s decision was made public, the Sher Bahadur Deuba faction had held a press conference warning of a nationwide protest if the decision did not come in its favour. The post Congress Disputes to Be Resolved Through Dialogue, Party Will Reunite: Shekhar Koirala first appeared on epardafas.com.
