The Federal Parliament Secretariat has completed all preparations to convene the winter session of the National Assembly from Magh 4, at a time when the House of Representatives remains dissolved. As the parliament building at the International Convention Centre in New Baneshwor was damaged by fire during the Gen Z movement, the session will be held at the Federal Parliament Secretariat premises in Singha Durbar. Spokesperson of the Secretariat Ekram Giri said National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal convened a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee on Friday and held consultations with concerned parliamentary party officials regarding the priorities of the session. He said all necessary preparations for the 19th session of the National Assembly have been completed and the session calendar will be made public on Saturday. According to Giri, the tentative agenda for the first meeting includes the reading out of the notice summoning the session and the passage of a condolence motion on the demise of Nepali Congress lawmaker Baldev Bohara.
