KATHMANDU: A tractor accident in Baitadi has left one person dead and three others injured. The tractor, bearing registration number M 1 Ta 1013, was traveling from Dhangadhi to Darchula when it met with the accident on Thursday morning along the Dasharathchand Highway, in Anarkholi, Patan Municipality-8. Police spokesperson Suraj Singh of Baitadi District Police Office reported that the driver, 21-year-old Karan Budhamagar from Mahakali Municipality-5, died at the scene. Three others traveling in the tractor were injured: 40-year-old Suraj Ghartimagar, his 18-year-old son Siddhartha Ghartimagar, both from Tikapur Municipality-7, and Amit BK from Tikapur-6. All three are receiving treatment at Dadeldhura Hospital. Authorities suspect that the tractor went out of control and fell approximately 50 meters off the road. A detailed investigation into the incident is underway.
