One Arrested with Vehicle in Sindhuli SBI Bank Robbery Case - english.pardafas.com
Police have arrested one person along with a vehicle in connection with the robbery at an SBI Bank branch in Ghyanglekh Rural Municipality-2 of Sindhuli district. According to the District Police Office, Sindhuli, the robbery took place at around 7:00 pm. District Police Chief SP Lal Dhwaj Subedi said police launched an immediate operation following the incident and the investigation is underway. Police have taken into custody a Tata Sumo vehicle used by the robbers, along with its driver. The driver told police that masked individuals had boarded the vehicle saying they were going to attend a wedding and that he was unaware of their intentions. Police said further questioning is ongoing. Local residents said a group of masked individuals entered the bank, assaulted the security guard, took bank staff under control, and fled after looting cash. According to police, a six-member masked group looted Rs 310.95 million on Tuesday evening before fleeing the scene. During a search operation launched immediately after the incident, police recovered Rs 18.01 million from a nearby forest, SP Subedi said.
