Department inspects 18 firms in Kathmandu and Lalitpur - english.pardafas.com

The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has conducted monitoring and inspections at 18 firms in Kathmandu and Lalitpur and brought them under regulatory action. According to the department, New R A Enterprises was fined Rs20,000 for activities found to be in violation of the Consumer Protection Act, 2018. The inspections were carried out at paint companies, hardware shops and outlets selling construction materials. Of the inspected firms, one was fined in cash, while the remaining 17 were issued corrective directives. The department said it has been conducting regular market monitoring and inspections as part of its improvement campaign.
