The exchange rate of the American dollar has reached a record high, according to the foreign exchange rates fixed by Nepal Rastra Bank for Saturday. As per the rates determined by the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 145.09 and the selling rate at Rs 145.69, the highest level recorded so far. Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at Rs 168.59 and the selling rate at Rs 169.29. The UK pound sterling is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 194.51 and a selling rate of Rs 195.31, while the Swiss franc has been set at Rs 180.97 for buying and Rs 181.71 for selling. The Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 97.32 and a selling rate of Rs 97.72. The Canadian dollar stands at Rs 104.49 for buying and Rs 104.92 for selling, while the Singapore dollar is being exchanged at Rs 112.70 for buying and Rs 113.16 for selling. The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.18 and the selling rate at Rs 9.21. The Chinese yuan is being traded at Rs 20.82 for buying and Rs 20.90 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal has been set at Rs 38.69 for buying and Rs 38.85 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 39.83 for buying and Rs 40 for selling. According to the central bank, the Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.62 and a selling rate of Rs 4.64. The UAE dirham is being traded at Rs 39.50 for buying and Rs 39.67 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 35.76 for buying and Rs 35.91 for selling. The buying rate for 100 South Korean won has been fixed at Rs 9.85 and the selling rate at Rs 9.89. The Swedish krona is set at Rs 15.74 for buying and Rs 15.81 for selling, and the Danish krone at Rs 22.56 for buying and Rs 22.66 for selling. Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.60 and the selling rate at Rs 18.68. The Kuwaiti dinar is being traded at Rs 474.46 for buying and Rs 476.42 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 384.85 for buying and Rs 386.44 for selling, and the Omani riyal at Rs 376.87 for buying and Rs 378.43 for selling. The buying rate of Indian currency Rs 100 has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate stands at Rs 160.15. The central bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required.
