Sumit Mittal Elected as National President of Round Table Nepal

Kathmandu, 23 August, 2025 – Round Table Nepal has elected Sumit Mittal as its new National President during the 25th Annual General Meeting held last Saturday at Hotel Soaltee, Kathmandu.
The new National Board comprises:
- President: Sumit Mittal
- Vice President: Saket Murarka
- Secretary: Rohit Agrawal
- Treasurer: Dipal Khanna
- Editor: Nishant Chachan
- International Relations Officer (IRO): Mayank Kedia
- Immediate Past President (IPP): Pravesh Agrawal
Speaking after his election, President Mittal highlighted the mission of Round Table Nepal, stating:
“Round Table is an organization of young men aged 18 to 40, founded on the guiding principle of Adopt, Adapt, Improve. We identify key social challenges, adapt solutions to local contexts, and continuously work to improve them.”
For the past 25 years, Round Table Nepal has been at the forefront of impactful community initiatives across the country, particularly in education, health, environment, and youth leadership.
The newly elected board announced its plans to continue programs such as:
- Upgrading schools and establishing the Round Table Nepal Model School
- Providing scholarship support to underprivileged children
- Promoting Paper for Progress – collecting waste paper and sending it to recyclers to fund social projects
- Driving Project CARE (Clean and Restore Everest) – focused on preserving and restoring the Everest region through waste management and environmental action
- Organizing trainings and workshops to enhance member skills and strengthen fellowship
“Round Table Nepal will continue to expand its programs, empowering communities and fostering leadership among its members,” added President Mittal.
