Round Table Nepal (RTN) has proudly announced the sponsorship of 1,111 students for the academic year 2082 through its flagship initiative, Educate a Child (EAC). Launched in 2016, the EAC program aims to provide educational support to underprivileged children across Nepal, enabling them to continue their studies up to high school level despite financial challenges.
To commemorate the milestone, RTN organized 11 simultaneous events in 9 cities across the country on May 9, 2025, distributing scholarship certificates to partner schools. A total of 38 schools are currently affiliated with RTN under this program. In Kathmandu, a special event was held at Shree Madan Ashrit Adarsha Secondary School, Budhanilkantha, where 14 associated schools received sponsorship certificates. The event was graced by Mr. Mitharam Adhikari, Mayor of Budhanilkantha Municipality, as the chief guest.
The cities were Biratnagar, Butwal, Bhairawa, Birgunj, Chitwan, Dhangadi, Janakpur, Kathmandu and Nepalgunj.
The Educate a Child initiative has steadily grown over the years, supporting 1,054 students in 2023 and 1,211 students in 2024. This consistent effort reflects RTN’s strong commitment to ensuring equitable access to education for children in need.
This year’s initiative is generously supported by contributions from RTN members, individual donors and businesses.
Round Table Nepal extends its heartfelt thanks to all supporters and remains committed to transforming lives through education.
